I am a very *strict* Code Of Ethics Rottweiler Breeder, {breeding only OFA/OVC Hips/Elbows, Heart, CERF-eyes cleared Rottweilers} & Breeder/Owner Handler. 

With only 21-puppies bred, Braxenburg Rottweilers is now an un-official CKC Permanently Registered kennel, retiring my kennel name for eternity.

I am a strong advocate of this breed, an advocate to protect the bloodlines, as well as developing a continuum of excellent temperament throughout our breeding program. Temperament is first AND foremost. I will not/do not/accept/consider a dog for the Braxenburg breeding program...UNLESS it has a sound temperament. I will NOT make excuses for my dogs. Perhaps, I am an elitist, if so, excellent.

With that said, my Rottweilers are my companions, first and foremost...who just happen also to be top ranked show/obedience dogs (# 1 Male Overall '00/# 1 Bitch All-Breed '99). They sleep on the bed, are un-supervised when I leave the home, and can be trusted in ANY situation. I do not have a kennel, runs, in fact the only time that my Rotties are crated at are shows! My dogs have given me endless hours of joy, and in turn - deserve the best! The best food, the best love, and the BEST homes, PERIOD. I may seem very selective on a prospective adoptive home, {GOOD}, afterall, it's the least I can do for my Rottweilers.

Of course, like many others, I had only viewed Rottweilers in movies, portrayed as the devil dogs..heheheh. (THE OMEN)

- which incidentally, portrays the Rottweilers from the famous UK kennel, GAMEGARDS, bred by Joan Blackmore. One of the Rottweilers in 'THE OMEN' was a lovely bitch named: GAMEGARDS LASTING LIGHT, {Sired by: UK CH. Gamegards Bulli vd Waldachquelle and out of Gamegards Mercedes} who is now HEAVILY throughout ALL of my dogs' pedigrees. *kewl*

Did the fact that I had never owned a dog before deter me??! Not at all!

I started to research breeders in 1992, and eventually purchased the QUEEN, 'Heidi' in 1992. I became so obsessed with ANYTHING Rottweiler that I purchased a linebred male from the same kennel with a hope of starting off with my own breeding programme. That dream never came about with my first two Rottweilers...but I think on the long tumultuous journey, to the present day...I am still learning, and the touch of my Rottweilers' soft lamb ears still soothes me.
