Vinnie was my keeper...I had 2 favourite boys that I had my eye on - the Purple (Vinnie) boy and the Red (Phoenix) boy.  Vinnie's name was chosen because it sounded like a good 'Gangster' name, being that his sire is named 'Donnie Brasco'. 

I had trouble deciding between the 2.  I called my Mentor, Larralyn McKay 0f Ambermark Dobermans to help me with a decision.  She too, was stuck between the 2-boys.

I don't think anyone regrets my ultimate decision...  :o)

So, Vinnie stayed behind with his Mom, Dad, and Auntie KD- doing the opposite of what I advise new puppy homes to do.

Vinnie:

1. was fed first {hey, he has a small belly}
2. was spoiled rott'n
3. was allowed to sleep on the bed and the couch
4. was taught to speak, sit, wait, and words like car-ride, cottage, etc.
5. was not leash-trained
6. was not crate-trained
7. was show trained
8. was 90% house-broken
9. had his own kiddie pool

Andre and Lynn Le Coz and Max (a Braxenburg pup), who incidentally ALSO WORE Vinnie's purple collar in my litter of 2000, and is Vinnie's half-brother). 

Andre and Lynn had been able to spend time with the litter, while staying over for a local dog show - Lynn, immediately picked Vinnie out (he was 7-weeks old) of the litter, and let great big hints drop to Andre.  I kept my mouth shut.  :o)

Vinnie has now started puppy school...he was feeling left out, as his littermates, Atlas, Phoenix, and Noah - ironically, ALL attended the same class without anyone's prior knowledge, and have since graduated puppy class! That Karma again!

Apparently, the reunion was joyous - the 3 boys recognized each other on the first class.
